Mission

La Maisonnée was created in 1979 to help new immigrants and their families settle, adapt and integrate into Quebec. It was not only a question of establishing a new service for the immigrant population, but of establishing a relationship between the members of the host society and people of immigrant origin, ensuring enriched community relations, characterized by the respect, justice, a sense of dialogue and solidarity. This is the essence of La Maisonnée's mission to make every resident, old, new or by birth a full citizen.

The project implementation team offers a multitude of fun, original and innovative activities. You will have the opportunity to experience Montreal and its vibrant cultural life throughout the seasons thanks to the initiation workshops. Then the opportunity also to hit the road to discover Quebec regions such as: Estrie (Frelighsburg and Lac-Brome), Quebec (Quebec), Lanaudière (Chertsey) and Montérégie (Mont Saint-Hilaire).

La Maisonnée offers you monthly activities and workshops, online or face-to-face, to help you in your reception, installation and job search procedures.

Canadian citizenship (requirements and exam), basic general installation, preparation of master CV, creation of the toolbox for job search, preparation for job interviews, help in finding accommodation, workshops for families , among others.
