Mission

CJE Centre-Nord's mission is to support anyone aged between 15-35 from the Saint-Michel, Villeray and Parc-Extension neighborhoods towards their social and professional integration. The organization offers educational services through pre-employability, volunteer, entrepreneurship and autonomy support projects. The same applies to employability: guidance in career orientation and reorientation, job search and retention, social and professional integration is available.

Services

Employment

Job search assistance: support in job search, CV and cover letter preparation, interview simulations, and more.
Educational and Career Information: support to discover interests, identify or validate a profession or training program, explore the job market, and much more. Presence twice a week at the Parc-Extension library (Tuesday and Wednesday).

School perseverance

Work-study balance, school and/or insertion business visits.
Presence of a counselor at Lucien-Pagé school 2 days/week.

Environment

Urban agriculture workshops, awareness of local food, etc.

Access to a computer

Access to a computer; access to Wi-Fi; computer workshops; laptop loans.

Youth in Difficulty

Psychosocial support; support for housing, health, safety, support for return to education/work, etc.

LGBTQ+ Social Club 18-25 years old

LGBTQ+ social club for young people aged 18-25 from sexual and gender diversity backgrounds and those questioning their gender identity.

*** Our services are offered to anyone between the ages of 15 and 35. To be eligible, beneficiaries must live in one of the three neighbourhoods of our borough (Saint-Michel, Villeray or Parc-Extension).

Saint-Michel: 3565 rue Jarry Est (Monday to Wednesday 8:30am to 12:00pm AND 1:00pm to 4:30pm & Thursday 8:30am to 12:00pm AND 1:00pm to 8:00pm)

Villeray: 1378 rue Jarry Est (Monday to Wednesday 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. AND 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. & Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. AND 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.)

Parc-Extension: 421 rue St-Roch, Centre William-Hingston, at the Parc-Extension Library (Tuesdays from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.; and Wednesdays from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.)
