Agence de Développement Durable de Montréal-Est Centre-Nord (ADMECN)

Mission

ADMECN's mission is to be a stakeholder in the orientations, challenges and issues of development and planning of the boroughs, in which it intervenes on socio-economic and environmental issues. The objectives are characterized by priority intervention axes such as: - Sustainable development, climate change, flooding, heat islands, tree planting and urban greening; - Prevention, intelligent communication and citizen awareness.

Services

As Montreal’s Lead Agency for Sustainable Development, ADMECN is well positioned to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), through our activities in selected boroughs and internationally. We help boroughs achieve the SDGs through integrated solutions. The complex challenges we face today – from tackling inequality to preventing conflict – cannot be solved in isolation. It also means finding solutions that respond to people’s daily realities. Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals requires the partnership of governments, the private sector, civil society, and informed citizens to ensure the creation of a better quality of life for current and future generations.
